Rendering and Shading

Final Render (Autodesk Maya 3D), VIZA 616; Rendering and Shading, Spring 2024
For Spring 2024 semester at Texas A&M, I took a Rendering and Shading course called VIZA 616: Rendering and Shading. The objective of the course was to practice creating shaders for objects, and rendering them for a clean visual display. I used Adobe Substance Painter 3D for shaders, and Autodesk Maya 3D for rendering. We used fbx. models that were provided by the university, and brought them into our pipeline. The course challenged me to mimic patterns, material, color, and other elements of real world objects. For my final project, I created a 3D still life image called "Spanish Guitar", for which I used models to replicate 'Southwestern Themed' objects such as a Spanish guitar, adobe clay pot, a classic suitcase, and a display of an old Mary Shelly's Frankenstein book. . The following images are my shader properties for each asset, along with their reference photos. The final still life is also including to show the concluding result. The course was a great experience for practicing shading and rendering principles.
